Instead of focusing on what her campaign believes is already obvious, she will aim to clarify her stance and goals.
Harris plans to promise that, as president, she will represent “all Americans” and will lead with a “New Way Forward.” According to parts of her speech shared by her campaign, she will also highlight the dangers of re-electing Donald Trump, linking him to the conservative Project 2025 group. While Trump has distanced himself from Project 2025, Harris is expected to emphasize the serious consequences of returning him to the White House.

The DNC has announced that Kamala Harris will be the final speaker of the evening, with her speech scheduled for the 9 p.m. hour.
Her speech is expected to last about 40 minutes. Afterward, there will be a celebratory balloon drop as she is joined on stage by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and their families.
